In the book Homework Machine, out of the four main characters I disliked Sam Dawkins the most. Sam wants to be the “cool” kid. I dislike him because he doesn’t like homework. However, I like homework because it’s part of learning. Homework is just an assignment you have to do at home instead of at school. Sam thinks homework is a punishment just for being a kid. He even talks bad about others.
In my opinion I think that Snikwad is my least favorite character. What I don’t like about Snick is that he doesn’t ever pay attention, try his best, do his homework etc. Plus he is a jerk to everybody he even makes eye contact with. One thing I know for sure is that he speaks his mind. For example, just think about what he said in his response to “The ten commandment of homework”. He says there should be a law in the constitution banning homework from schools. He also says that homework is a punishment for just being a kid. I don’t think that he is a bad person, he’s just misguided.
I do not like Sam because she is the bragging type. I don't exactly like people who brag. I would classify them bullies. He thinks that he is the only the cool dude around. He thinks Brenton is a nerd, Judy is a stick up, and she is the only cool person there.
So far, my least favorite character is "snikwad" because of his mean "I am the most perfect kid ever" attitude.However, I do agree with him about homework.
I like Kelsey the best because she's sort of like the lets-go-and-hang-out kind of girl while being the nice-kind-funny-and-on-top-of-all-of-that-super-smart kind of girl. Like MEEEEE! Anyway, my least favorite has to be Snikwad because he's the I'm-gonna-use-my-brilliant-mind-to-make-up-reasons-to-get-away-with-somethings while being the let's-go-play-and-be-mean-and-selfish-and-call-people-names-and-never-listen-to-the-teacher-and-never- do-my-homework kind of guy.
I don't like Snikwad because he misjudges his classmates and thinks he is the only cool kid. I also think that it isn't good to think of homework as a punishment because you should be happy that you are learning more. I think he is trying as hard as he can to convince everyone that homework is the worst thing in the world. His goal might be to make his thoughts travel to the school board and maybe even the White House!

And making you mom not getting you a haircut? Ridiculous! Well I do that sometimes, however I'm not that mean. He also refuses to do his simple homework. How are we ever gonna get him to learn?

Snikwad does it to stay in school and he still flunked out of his other school. I can tell he isn't going to be successful in life.
I dislike Judy Douglas the least because she always complaining. She complains about anything and everything. She also dislikes education and learning. She mostly complains about Homework. Judy is always in everyone’s way.
Snikwad is my favorite character in the Homework Machine because he's funny. I like his ten Commandments of homework and when he said some people try to act cool. I dislike Judy because she is really bossy. Judy made fun of Brenton and she's mean to everyone especially Brenton.

One of my favorite characters is Brandon Damagachi because he is interesting and pretty much the smartest one in the group. Those are my opinions and I'm excited to read more of The Homework Machine.

However, I can still relate to him in some ways like how our brain needs a rest when we get home. Sometimes homework does seem like a punishment for being a kid. I sometimes do enjoy homework and assignments we do in class. Anyways, Snikwad doesn’t think anyone is cool like him even if he gets a tight bond with them. However, I think he is also brave to let his feelings out and stand up to his parents when they said he needed a haircut which he does need. Though, he is not brave enough to share why he was suspended from his old school.
I’m not CRAZY of Dr. Jerk, (a.k.a. Snikwad/Sam). He is an obnoxious, bratty, self–consumed snob who has his head way up there in the clouds. I MEAN, COME ON!!! If your dad is working on the front lines, don’t you want to make him proud?!!! And not even looking presentable?!!! I learned from a different book that the family of a soldier is in the army, too. It doesn’t matter whether or not they have a uniform. What ever they do, it affects that soldier in that family. How Mr. Hothead is acting right know? Hope HE doesn't come on visitation days. That’s what I think about Snikwad.

Why would Miss Rasmussen make the comment, "It's so rare to see a boy like Sam forming a friendship with a boy like Brenton, or a girl like Kelsey bonding with a girl like Judy". Why was she pleased?Why did she find it surprising? Do you have a rare friendship with someone that your teacher or parents may be taken aback with? Please explain.
